Curriculum Vitae

Elena N. Antoniou lives and works in Athens, Greece.

Nature, history references, human conditions, and global problems , always inspire her work, sometimes giving a symbolic prortraiture of life.

Her artistic expression uses many media, such as:

• painting (mostly pencils and acrylics) on several different surfaces such as fabric or even helmets,   

• handmade paper, Japanese bookbinding, writing and illustration of children books,

• clay sculpting, photography, video performance, art installations, etc

 

Using the medium that she decides, when inspired, she creates works expressing and exploring ideas about the essense of human condition in the contemporary urban or natural environment, or simply interprets nature with her own way.

She is a member of an active Contemporary art lab led by Elpida Rikou and Sofia Grigoriadou.

​

Portable artworks in small scale is her recent work, with which she has participated in several group exhibitions and has been exhibited in several galleries in Greece and in one International Action-Call in Barcelona.
